You see it time and time again. Stories about climate change are always overwhelmed by deniers about ten to one. If nothing else, they are organized. One is tempted to tell them, "Fine. Keep on polluting and using fossil fuels and don't worry. We can't do anything about it any way. PS, I hope you don't own sea shore property that disappears because of climate change. Yes, it's all Al Gore's fault because he is becoming a billionaire on his movie, An Inconvenient Truth...

Pollution Knows no Boundaries
The journal Nature, in it's recent issue, tells us that air pollution from Asia is showing up over the western states in the skies over California, Oregon and Washington. It comes as no surprise and it has likely been going on for a long time...
You're no Thomas Friedman
Today's Article from the New York Times, written by Matthew L Wald, makes the statement that wind energy can replace coal and natural gas for 20 to 30 percent of our electric power needs in the eastern two-thirds of the United States by 2024. From passing laws prohibiting the installation of wind turbines in the Flint Hills to forcing schools to teach Creationism, Kansas carries the banner for denial of anything that has happened since the dark ages. The tiny Western Star newspaper, "The Official Newspaper of Coldwater, Kansas," has written an open letter in a two page spread to Al Gore. Why they think he would read it is a mystery...
How to clean up Dirty Coal, Not

Meigs wrote an excellent two page article on the same subject, titled The Myth of Clean Coal. It was an excellent article and covered the case against Clean Coal in a clear and straightforward way.
